Myspace Profile 3.0

There may be a lot of confusion with Myspace lately. A lot of clients have emailed me saying they are confused so in order to try and fix that I am writing this article.

Myspace often make changes but they do not often make a change as big as this one. Myspace Profile 3.0 offers a lot for clients once you understand how to use it. It's very similar to profile 2.0 however that did not take off as well as expected. A lot of people kept profile 1 and liked it more than profile 2.0. I have heard a lot of people say they do not like profile 3.0 however unlike previous versions profile 3 is here to stay and all profiles are being upgraded automatically.

It looks like you are going to need to get used to profile 3 as it is not going away and profile 1.0 and 2.0 are not going to be available anymore.

Help! My Design has gone!

Chances are if you are reading this then you are wondering what has happened to your profile. With the upgrade to myspace profile 3 your old code will not work. This can be fixed, your design can be updated to a profile 3 standard however it is a lot of work as it is essentially making you another profile.

If you would like your current design amending to a profile 3 standard then please get in touch with me I would be more than willing to help and what is better for you is I will do it at a discounted price. If the design is simply to be amended I will not charge the full price of a myspace profile 3 design.

Is profile 3.0 here to stay?

It looks this way, all other profiles are going to be replaced by profile 3.0. How long will profile 3.0 be around? - only myspace know this but I imagine for a few years as previous versions have being around for a very long time.

Discounts will always be available to previous clients simply wanting to upgrade their profile to the latest version so if a version 4.0 does arrive then the same offers will apply to that but I do not see a profile 4.0 happening for a very long time.

Help! I am Lost, How do I update?

I keep hearing a lot of clients say they are lost with the new profile and do not know how to change anything. I am sure in time you will get used to the new profile and there are guides on myspace on how to update.

If you are really stuck and want me to take care of everything then just let me know as I can do this for you. I can amend your old design to match the profile 3.0 standard and get all of your previous content back in for you. (if previous content is missing then I would need to request it from you and put it back in, this may involve you writing your bio again but that should not be a problem).
